Summary
Moving through landscape design to construction, this project integrates a new build into the established streetscape along a busy thoroughfare. Large modern drift planting creates an eye-catching design that sparks interest, curiosity and intrigue in passerby’s. A bold planting palette, shifting seasonal interest, and diverse textures create a visual buffer between the house and the road.
Making use of the existing laural hedge on site, the design makes use of the laural’s screening abilities in order to screen key areas and create an intimate backyard lawn space for the family to enjoy without the interruption of the busy street.
