Summary
A complete front yard redesign, the drainage and grading challenges on site around the driveway acted as a catalyst for this landscape renovation.
The installation of proper drainage around the drive, resurfacing the driveway with fresh pavers, and formalizing the pedestrian circulation from the street to entryway, all helped in creating a more functional and useable space. Terracing the slope in the front yard helped to flatten out the main path, isolating the grade change of the yard’s slope within a few well placed sets of stairs, creating a more enjoyable approach to the front door of the home.
Planted across the terraces, large swath planting was installed, contrasting against the static lines of the hardscape path, stairs and boulder retaining walls, helping to integrate the new landscape design into the established site.
